Description Chevy continues the horsepower arms race by adding two turbos to their already potent C8 Corvette along with massive, restrictive catalytic converters to satisfy emissions regulations. For those seeking to use their car in a competition setting, eliminating these catalysts offers a significant increase in performance. SOUL downpipes bump up to 3.5″ diameter piping for maximum flow with a smooth transition down to 3″ to mate with the factory rear exhaust section. Weight savings of 32.5 lbs is also a significant benefit for overall vehicle handling. DYNO PROVEN POWER The massive increase in efficiency from the SOUL downpipes results in better response under all conditions and a noticeably harder pul l throughout the power curve . Independent dyo testing at Vollux Autowerks on our development car revealed max gains of over 100 whp and 130 ft-lbs of torque at 4,000 RPMs and peak gains of roughly 55 whp and 30 ft-lbs of torque with factory hardware and 93 octane gas. Those running a tuning device should expect to see even greater gains between the increase in efficiency and larger diameter of the SOUL 3.5″ piping. For further reference, a second round of dyno testing was done at KIES Motorsport with the full SOUL 3.5″ Competition Exhaust System (blue dyno graph lines). The addition of Soler Performance Throttle Bodies and a JB4 piggyback tuning device (green dyno graph lines) added further gains of over 110whp and 163 ft-lbs of torque! Race gas would easily allow for power numbers over 1,200 whp.
